How???

You can help.

I don't know about you, but its hard for me to fathom the tragedy that has just occurred. To think about a death toll nearing 100,000 truly boggles my mind to the point of incomprehension. It's almost hard to grieve for that many without being overwhelemed. Usually when I hear of devastation like this I'm compelled to make a difference, to do something. Earlier today I was feeling insignificant. What could I do to possibly put a dent in the huge need that is so immediate? And then I thought, what if everyone thought like me? The truth of the matter is that working to help in the face of this tragedy is not America's problem, not the UN's problem, not Red Cross's problem, it's OUR problem. If each human would take responsiblity for a part in bringing hope, the task would NOT be insurmountable. My prayer is for the survivors, for the families of the victims and those who are literally in the trenches walking out the reality of this disaster. Yet my prayer is for humanity that we would feel the responsibility to "bear one another's burdens"- and offer help and hope in this crucial time.

I've experienced a "pulling together" to meet a need on a small scale before but this requires a GLOBAL "pulling together". Some will go, some will stay, we should all pay, we should all pray. What can you do?
