If you want to avoid stress at the holidays...

Here's a little list that I'd love for you to add to...Just tips and ideas to avoid stress at the Holidays:

1. DON'T overbook your calendar till there is no room to breathe...allow time to relax.
2. DON'T go to IKEA with two small children.
3. Christmas shop online (thanks Betsy for reminding me..the easiest way to git'r'done!)
4. Don't worry too much about counting calories...yet, don't overdo it...you'll pay later.
5. Don't be sickly sickly pregnant, send your husband to India for two weeks, close on your new house, remodel, buy new appliances all while he's gone...(oh wait that was last year...)
6. Don't give up life's necessities, hot coffee, hot bath, working out, read a little, take some quiet time...(notice I say necessities, not luxuries..)
7. Enjoy the moments. Make someone's day. (Thanks to the Santa who sent a letter to THE GIRL...that made her day. She sleeps with the letter, dreaming of Christmas!)
8. Try not to quit your job, sell your house and relocate your family in a months time (oh, sorry Casey...there's no way to avoid stress...)

What tips do you have?

Uh, lets see...don't start looking for another new job when you just started the one you have. Oh wait, that's Brian not me and that actually de-stresses him. Don't make your own Christmas cards, it's faster and you avoid the worry of not getting them finished. However, they are so worth all the time and I hope you think so too.

My idea is to emulate Christmas with the Cranks (minus the last 15 minutes of the movie when the daughter comes home)
