10 Coins, 10 Coins-- What would you do?
It could be from a recent episode of Higley Town Heros or a discussion I had with MD (metrodad) this weekend...
If, today, you were given an extra $500.00 that was to be used strictly for a pleasurable gift for yourself...what would you buy?
At first I didn't quite know...then as my wheels began to spin I could think of several things I'd want....

Wow - $500 just for myself...no husband, no kids or dog to buy for?! Hmmm...I would love to spend a WHOLE day at the spa getting pampered...hot rock massage, hour long pedicure, relaxing facial. Oh and can't forget my newly discovered treat this V-day 'chocolate covered strawberries'. Oh so yummeee! Think I may have gone over the $500 limit though...
If I had $500 to spend solely on myself I think I would buy shoes, clothes, some new sunglasses, hats... Being the bargain shopper I am, I think I could probably get a whole new wardrobe for that much--a little Ross, Goodwill, Susies Deals, Walmart... ah, one can only dream!!!!
$500...mmm...I would get online and buy all kinds of South African foods like chocolates, drinks, biltong (South African beef jerky), cookies. That would take like $200. Then I would buy me a seat at the Stanley Cup Hockey game.(the Superbowl of Hockey)
Why the title "10 coins, 10 coins?" Just curious. Well, I would buy some new tennis shoes, and a new desk (the one from Costco that I saw yesterday). With the little money that would be left...lip gloss.
Hmm... Wishful thinking! I'm with terri -- I'd hit a couple discount stores (Ross, Marshalls) get "more bang for my buck".. then the rest: a spree at Sephora!
I'd be swimming in lip gloss, blushes, shadows... I can only imagine. :o)
Well I was going to say that I'd save it and that would give me the most pleasure... but after reading all of the comments, I have to say, I'd by the seat right next to Martin at the Stanley Cup, a jersey, 2 hotdogs and a pretzel while at the game.
I'm going to go with investing 499 bucks of it so that I can get more money out of that money and then take the dollar I didn't spend an buy a cherry vanilla pepsi at Quicktrip and go home and keep an eye on my recent investments.
Or forget about all of that and buy a 60GB iPod video. =)
