Why mowing is the new vacuuming...

All of my life I've loved to vacuum. I love the feeling of a room marked with the perfect lines and am always trying to preserve the lines as long as possible...with two kids running around that equals about 45 seconds, but whatever. Such gratification seeing a room in perfect order complete with perfect lines. Now, take that feeling and multipy it by 100 and you have the high that I have just learned about...mowing the lawn. Seriously no one ever told me how great it is to look at a lawn you just mowed complete with lines that don't disappear as soon as someone walks on it!!!! Oh the sheer joy! I'm so not kidding. I LOVE mowing the lawn!!!!

What I don't love...finding a dead scorpion in my garage. That's another story.

Wow!! That's just great! I'm nearly speechless! I"ve actually never mowed the lawn before that way...so there is a VERY MINUTE CHANCE I would get as much gratification as you.....I do believe that I could gain the excitement and satisfactions about vacuuming, though, if I actually had a vacuum that sucked - literally! But like I said about the mowing...the chances are.....hmmmm...SLIM! :-)

Another perk of where I live, no mowing and I love it. So, I have to settle for lines in the carpet although only when the boys aren't home.

Your gonna have to tell me the secret to getting lines in my carpet from vacuuming...I always try to do it, but can't! Good job on the mowing- I'll have to walk down and check it out today.

I could never get the lines in my carpet either, so I ripped out all the carpet and stained the concrete. No more vaccumming! I've only attempted the lawn mowing once. I was 9 months pregnant with Emma (trying to go into labor, I think) and I mowed until the dumb thing ran out of gas. Then, the lawn mower and the half-mowed lawn sat there until my husband gave in and hired a lawn service. No more mowing! Have fun with yours though.
